Returns to Saddleback for her sophomore season after being a part of the Gaucho program in 2017.  During her freshman campaign, Melendrez earned Scholar Baller status.  Previous to Saddleback, she gradiated from Long Beach Wilson High School in 2016.  While at LBWHS, Melendrez won the Coaches Award.  She plans to major in chemistry.
