The Saddleback athletic programs had another banner year in the classroom during the spring, with seven of the programs posting cumulative GPA's of 3.0 or higher. Women's tennis led the way during the spring.
Women's tennis has had a great run both on and off the court. The Gauchos finished 10-6 on the court in 2017 and had a number of athletes advance to the state tournament. Off the court they were nearly flawless, posting a cumulative 3.59 GPA. It was the second straight year that women's tennis has led the spring sports in academics, posting a record 3.67 in 2016.
Women's tennis was one of six programs to post a 3.0 GPA or higher for the spring semester. During the 2016-17 calendar year, 14 of the 20 athletic teams achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.
