Debniak joins the coaching staff at Saddleback in 2017 as an assistant coach.  He came to Saddleback from San Diego Mesa College where he served as the defensive coordinator for three years.  Previous to Mesa, Debniak was an assistant coach at Westview High School for 10 years, serving as head coach of the JV team for two years and head coach of the freshmen team for three years.  In addition to coaching at the high school level, Debniak played and coached for the San Diego Enforcers Law Enforcement Team, serving as the defensive coordinator.

Debniak grew up in Michigan and played football, hockey and baseball at Bridgeport High School.  Upon graduation, he joined the Navy in 1984 as a hospital corpsman, receiving an associates degree in nursing.  He was based in San Diego and traveled the world for four years with the Navy.  After his time in the Navy, Debniak later received a degree in criminal justice and spent 25 years in law enforcement.
