Coach Curtis is a former quarterback at Saddleback College.  He grey-shirted during the 2008 season he then saw the field as a starting quarterback for the Gauchos over the next two years.  Upon graduation, Curtis received a full scholarship to continue playing at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA.  Unfortunately, he then sustained a career-ending injury to his throwing arm weeks before arriving on campus to compete at Savannah State.  Curtis immediately got involved coaching quarterbacks at the high school level and has been a quarterback's coach at Aliso Niguel and Dana Hills over the last five seasons, helping two of his students receive full scholarships to continue playing at the collegiate level.
