The 16th annual Saddleback College Athletic Department fundraising golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 31, at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo.
This event is the main fundraiser for the entire athletic department, including each of the college's 20 intercollegiate athletic teams as well as the support programs such as the Sports Medicine office, Sports Information office, and the P.A.S.S. Program (Program Assisting Student-Athlete Success). This year's tournament will celebrate the first 50 years of intercollegiate competition by the college in the sports of football, men's basketball, baseball, and track and field which all started during the college's inaugural 1968-69 academic year.
Entry fees are $175 per person (or $700 per foursome) if received by the Early Bird deadline of May 18. Otherwise, fees will be $200 per person and $800 per foursome.
This has proven to be a fun-filled day of friendship and camaraderie on the golf course for all participants and sponsors. This tournament has raised over $200,000 in additional funding for the athletic department over the past 15 years and our goal is to raise $50,000 this year in honor of our 50th season.
